When advertising with Google Ads, a person may sometimes not want to advertise to searches that contain a certain phrase. This article tells how that can be accomplished.
To stop advertising to searches that contain a certain phrase, add a negative phrase match keyword for the phrase. The negative phrase match keyword can be added to an ad group or campaign. Once this has been done, the ad group or campaign should no longer advertise to searches that contain the phrase that was specified when creating the keyword.
