When you remove a page from a website, it looks like one of the best things to do is to set up a redirect to send traffic from that page to another page on the website.

It may seem like removing a page from a website is one of the easiest things in the world - all you have to do is delete the page's file. However, it appears that simply doing that may not yield the best results. After all, what if someone has that page as a bookmark? Or, what if another website has a link to that page? Also, what if the page is indexed by search engines? This makes the situation a little more complex.

It appears that one of the best things to do when looking to remove a page from a website is to redirect traffic going to that page to another page on the website. This is actually a pretty good idea because if someone tries to get to the page that has been deleted, they can have options - instead of seeing nothing.

As for which page to redirect traffic to, there are a couple of options. A page that is relevant to the deleted page is an option. Another option is to create a page that lets people know that the content they're looking for has been removed, but also gives them other options like similar products, or simply allows them to further browse the site. One other option is to redirect traffic to the home page.

While it may seem simple enough to remove a web page from a website, due to certain considerations, it appears that redirecting traffic from the removed page to another page on the website can be a pretty good idea.
